Happy Easter everyone!! He has risen! Praise God! Praise King Jesus! May we never forget the sacrifice of Friday and the joy in Sunday. Because of Jesus and the wounds he endured that, that is beyond what we could even imagine, we get to live in hope! In love! In freedom! In His Kingdom!! Now and for all of eternity!!! Praise our living King Jesus!!!

This Easter has been truly amazing. We were able to celebrate in Georgetown for two night, enjoying the beach, the town, a beautiful house, community, and worship to the One who is Worthy. I am so thankful for my friends and the memories we’ve made. This whole week, Holy week, has been an amazing week of ministry and remembering the life of Jesus. I love the kids we teach, I love the culture, and I love the community I get to share it all with!

On Monday this week we had a worship night with another squad who is also in Malaysia serving with us. It was so cool to worship and pray with each other and just focus on God together. Thursday we had a birthday party for 2 of our ministry hosts!! They are so kind and I am so grateful for their friendship!! Friday we headed to Georgetown, wandered around town for hours, ate Mexican food for the first time in months, and spent the night in worship, remembering the sacrificing and love we could never repay. Saturday, we decided to go to the beach, but instead of just ordering a car, Rose and I decided why not just walk (in the hot sun along a highway – but how many other chances will we have to walk to the beach in Malaysia). So, 45 mins later we made it to the beach. We spent the day in the water, praying not to encounter a jellyfish, floating in the sun, swimming with the waves and came back for the sunset! It was perfect! Thank you Jesus! Thank you for loving the little things in life.

As we enter the final month of the race it’s a bittersweet time. I think of going home to my family and friends that I miss so so much and I get overjoyed with the thought of it only being one more month. But when I think of the people I have grown to love so so much on the race being hours and hours away instead of sleeping on the sleeping pad next to me, I dread the day I have to say goodbye. This next season holds so much unknown and change from the life I’ve lived these last 9 months, in amazing ways and in hard ways. But despite all the changes, God remains the same. God has taught me so much on this race and that doesn’t end when I get home. God is the same in Guatemala, Africa, Malaysia, America and Canada. He feels closer than ever before and He’s not going anywhere. Even when I have no idea what’s next, I have peace because my God knows. He knows and He says it’s going to be good, even better than my plans. If I hadn’t given up my plans, I wouldn’t be in Malaysia. So once again I surrender my plans, knowing God is faithful and will be forever and ever. So thank you God for this next month that I get to live on the race and thank you for the season that is to come off the race!

Hope you all had a good week, happy Easter! Thank you for all the prayers!
